Women & Children covers major portion of the population in a country. Govern-ment has carried lot of welfare programmes to these caregory. Women contributes in so many ways inside and outside the family. Constant & Continuous programmes have to be charted out for their sustainable development.
Under women development. Tailoring Training was provided to interested SHG women. Periodical orientation training was given to all SHG women. Short term training was given in micro - finance acvities.
The current focus relating to child development are maternal & child health, Nutrition, Early childhood care Education, early childhood disability and child care supportive services.
Under child development, Kirusha Trust is running Free evening Tution centres for school going Children, character building programme for children providing educational assistance to needy & poor children. UNO has declared 21st JUNE as world yoga day and to be observed byall 189 member nations including India.
As usual during this year also, tailoring training programme was conducted to girls.
60 Girls were admitted and all of them have undergone 6 months short term training. A qualified Tailoring Instructor conducts the training. Main focus was given on stitching & school uniforms for both Boys & Girls. Uniform stitching becomes one of the continuous employable activity throughout the year.

During this year, Kirusha Trust has contacted Government department months/ NABARD (National Bank for Agricultural and Rural Development) Nationalised Banks Lions / Rotary / Jaycees Clubs. 17 Tailoring machines were received and distributed the Trained Girls.
Household Income increased on account of their increased interest in taking orders for stitching school uniforms for school going children.
Micro finance Activity include short term Training in Cell Phone Repair, embroidary designing. Incase stick making, pappad making, Artificial flOwer making, Carrier cover making etc.,
Kirusha Trust has organised a one week training for women. An Instructor experienced in all these activities conducted the Training Community Hall in Melpattambakkam Village. Nearly 30 women from all the project villages attended this training.
The chairman of Melpattambakkam Town Panchayat started the Training and volunteered himself in bearing the material cost for the Training. Local wholesale dealers gave an assurance that they will buy all the finished products. This marker link encouraged the women to increase their involvement and increased their productions.

Due to various family reasons, school going students face lot of challenging problems in schools.
In order to cope up with their studies in their schools, Kirusha Trust has organised free evening Tution centres in its project Villages and provide there coaching in the evening by paid volunteers.

Kirusha Trust, to supplement the many educational assistance given by the Government gave away Chappals, School bags, Geomentry Box, State, Two sets of school uniforms to poor and needy students.
Poor student were identified with the help of school authorities, village president SHG members, village elders for this educational Assistance!
Parents, School teachers, Peer Group influence, elders Instructions are the influ-encing activity in the Habit & character formation of children!
Practicing Yoga is one of the encouraging activity to keep the mind & body in a rejuvanated condition UNO has declared 21st June as "WORLD YOGA DAY" to be observed by all member Nations! Mr. Rajasekaran, Yoga master and foundar, Gandhi community welfare Trust Mr.Thirisangu conducted practical classes on Yoga.
Nearly 70 students participated in the practical seniors in morning and evening. Parents of these childrengradually know the importance and appreciated Kirusha Trust for their active interest in phsical & spiritual involvement.
